Music On The Trail

The Trail Conservancy is thrilled to host some of Austin’s most loved musicians on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail for free musical performances every Wednesday evening at the Rainey Street Trailhead lawn. With Music on the Trail, you can discover new music, hear a song from an Austin favorite, or enjoy a live soundtrack to your evening Trail routine. This program is currently presented by H-E-B, with secondary sponsorship opportunities available.

October 2020 was the inaugural month of what is now an ongoing series and was dedicated to Black musicians in Austin. As an organization committed to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), we believe representation and visibility matter. In it’s first year, the music series was intended to spotlight local artists on the Trail while promoting and supporting Black Austin musicians in a time when the Live Music Capital of the World was in lockdown. We are continuously working to make the Trail a welcoming space for all of the communities we serve. The performers were selected in partnership with a committee of local arts and entertainment influencers and experts.
