Find birds on the Butler Trail at the Holly Trailhead. Join TTC and Travis Audubon for a beginner-friendly, 1-2 mile-long bird walk.

Kids on Bikes in Parks
Kids on Bikes in Parks is a free cycling event presented by Violet Crown, The LeadOut Foundation, and The Trail Conservancy. We have a closed course of 1000 ft of grassy parkland for children ages 5-15 to ride their bikes on. We will have open track time with experienced cyclists present to teach lessons and at the top of every hour, we will have timed laps for kids to test themselves and track their progress.

Moonlight Margarita Run 2026
For over two decades, runners, walkers, and margarita lovers have gathered along the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail for this high-energy 5K fun-run. Kicking off with a shotgun start, the route winds through the scenic streets of downtown Austin, bordering the Butler Trail and Lady Bird Lake. The race ends in a lively community celebration at Auditorium Shores, filled with music and festivities!

Twilight on the Trail is The Trail Conservancy’s largest fundraising night of the year. This event brings together philanthropic leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and community supporters for an unforgettable evening under the stars, generating critical funds for the Ann & Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail.
