We are thrilled to celebrate Earth Day on the Trail with you all in 2023!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 22nd 2023.

The Trail Conservancy remains committed to our conservation and ecological restoration efforts on the Trail this Earth Month and invite you to participate in one of our volunteer opportunities on the Trail or join us for this year’s Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run.

About The Trail Foundation’s Ecological Restoration Projects

The natural areas around Lady Bird Lake provide an important refuge for wildlife within the city and connect riparian corridors as well as numerous protected areas up and downstream. Wildlife comes to the site for food, water, and shelter provided by the Lake and the surrounding natural areas. The natural areas serve both resident wildlife and numerous migratory birds and butterflies. Without large stands of emergent vegetation, these animals are disappearing from the largest and most complete natural area in downtown Austin. TTC has increased efforts in recent years to restore these habitats.
