Life on the Trail

The Stories of the Butler Trail and Lady Bird Lake

The Trail Foundation is gathering stories to learn more about people’s connections to the Butler Hike and Bike Trail and Lady Bird Lake. These stories will be posted here as a living archive which, we hope, will present the complexities, wondrousness, and challenges of this remarkable place.

This project is part of the public outreach for the Butler Trail Arts and Culture Plan. Its goal is to help us learn what this place means to the people of Austin, as a basis of understanding what arts and culture strategies would be most appropriate.
