Shanik Hughes is the Mexico-born, American-based singer-songwriter with a passion for storytelling through music and entertainment. Her work spans across different platforms, from live performances and music videos to teaching voice and piano, and even producing events. As a Mexican American artist, she brings her heritage into her music and performances and is dedicated to uplifting the Latin community in Austin and beyond by promoting more representation in the arts.

Currently, Shanik is focusing her energies on a new project: she will produce and perform covers of Spanish music that highlight the beauty of Mexico and its immense culture, as well as that of other Latin American countries. She now lives in Austin, Texas, where she continues to create new music.
