Foster teamwork, promote volunteerism, and make a lasting impact on the environment with Day in the Dirt—a unique, hands-on volunteer experience designed specifically for your organization.

Led by experienced staff from The Trail Conservancy, this fully customized volunteer day provides your team with everything needed to succeed. Our trained field staff will guide and supervise the activities, supply all necessary tools and equipment, and coordinate with city agencies such as Austin Parks and Recreation and Watershed Protection to ensure a seamless and meaningful experience.

what will my team be doing?

Day in the Dirt activities include, but are not limited to:

Building Gardens

Installing Native Plants & Sapling Trees

Spreading Native Wildflower Seed

Removing Invasive Plants

Spreading Mulch & Compost

Setting Up Your Event

Important Information

- Day in the Dirt events must be scheduled at least 3 weeks prior to the preferred event date

- Day in the Dirt events take place on Thursday or Friday mornings from 9AM-12PM and typically last 3 hours

- A nominal fee covering expenses for tools, materials, and staff time is required

- Cost varies based on the group size, the volunteer day length, and the day of the week
