The Lakeshore Park Project was completed in early 2016.
The plan for this space was this project was included in our Southeast Shore Park and Trail Masterplan.
This phase of the Lakeshore Park Project included an alleé of Mexican Sycamore trees, which transitioned Trail users from the entirely manmade Boardwalk to a more park-like Trail experience. These graceful trees provide much-needed shade for the sunny plazas and the new exercise equipment in the easternmost plaza.
The new exercise equipment and rubberized surfacing match that of the Auditorium Shores project, just a few miles west.
