In addition to formal water access, rain garden construction has been identified as an important component of creating a resilient park that endures the force of frequent flash floods and large amounts of stormwater flows. In collaboration with the Watershed Protection Department, The Trail Foundation built a 2600 sqft rain garden which has had a major impact on the erosion of the downhill section of trail. The project was completed in 2017 and continues to be maintained by The Trail Conservancy.
