Regular Trail users Pat and Paul Sackett divide their time between Minneapolis, Minnesota and Austin, Texas. Their Austin home is located near Zilker with easy access to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, and their Minneapolis home is located along the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway. Similar to how the Butler Trail is Austin’s crown jewel and the hub of our entire trail system, the Grand Rounds Byway is at the heart of Minneapolis’ trail system and offers a series of interconnected urban parks and pathways that take a roughly circular path around the Twin Cities. The married couple’s number one priority when buying a home is close proximity to trails, and they joke that they like to “buy the trail” wherever they live.
