Holly Shores Community Engagement

In the spring of 2024, The Trail Conservancy held a community open house, spoke with several focus groups, popped up at neighborhood events, presented to neighborhood associations, and interviewed neighbors. We learned neighbors’ goals, priorities, and visions for the play area, trailhead, and trail enhancements originally identified in the Holly Shores/Edward Rendon Sr. Park at Festival Beach. Our team heard from 115 people in person and 146 through an online survey, with 89% of respondents from the 78702 zip code, which serves the Holly neighborhood and surrounding areas.
