In 2018, The Trail Conservancy constructed another rain garden at the downtown intersection of Congress Ave and Cesar Chavez. The garden is planted with many native pollinator-friendly species and captures runoff from the entire bridge, filtering out over 100 lbs of pollutants annually. The Trail Conservancy maintains the project.
