Collaboration: Auditorium Shores Trailhead

The Auditorium Shores Trailhead is one of the most used access points for the Butler Trail. The space greatly needed repairs and amenities- new restrooms, water fountains, and native plants.

The Trailhead is a part of a larger project from The City of Austin that served the broader park and event space needs for the Auditorium Shores area (now Vic Mathias Shores). To fund the construction of all the needs for the Trailhead, The City needed additional funding and asked TTC (then The Trail Foundation) to donate. TTC’s $350,000 contribution went towards new restrooms, water fountains, stormwater treatment of the parking lot runoff, lakefront deck, and exercise/stretching equipment for the Trailhead.
