Earth Week is an exciting time on the Trail and double the fun with back-to-back big events! Join us and the Rowing Dock on Friday, April 25, 2025, for Austin’s largest land and lake Earth Day clean-up. Then, relax and celebrate the beauty of the Butler Trail at TTC’s Earth Day Jubilee on April 26, 2025. Enjoy our biggest free-to-attend event featuring workshops by community partners, resources, unique earth-friendly vendors, food and beverages, and family-friendly entertainment.

Earth Day Clean-Up

Friday, April 25, 2025 

We’re pumped to join forces once again with Rowing Dock for Austin’s largest land and lake Earth Day clean-up! Grab your crew, roll up your sleeves, and sign-up for the 2025 clean-up!

Locations: Rowing Dock (West end), Epic SUP (East end), and on the Butler Trail at Festival Beach

Time: 9 AM or 12 PM

Info: This event is free for all community volunteers, with advance registration required. To allow all community members to participate, there will be a small donation fee required for corporate teams with 10+ individuals. All funds raised from this event will go to the Trail Conservancy, a 501c3 organization.

Earth Day Jubilee

Saturday, April 26, 2025 

Join us for a free, family-friendly event filled with live music, interactive eco-friendly activities, a vibrant maker’s market, and fun for all ages. Come celebrate, explore, and make lasting memories on the Butler Trail!

Location: International Shores

Time: 10 AM – 1 PM

BioBlitz

Saturday, April 26, 2025

Join the TTC team, local experts, and community members to identify and record the biodiversity of Holly Shores as a part of the City Nature Challenge 2025. Participants can use identification guides, microscopes, and apps like iNaturalist to help identify species.

Location: Holly Shores (2 Robert T Martinez Jr St, Austin, TX 78702)

Time: 9 AM – 1 PM

Information:bioblitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time, usually 24 hours. Participants can use identification guides, microscopes, and apps like iNaturalist to help identify species.

Our BioBlitz site is a Holly Shores. Parking is available in front of the Lorraine “Grandma” Camacho Activity Center and along the street. When you arrive, walk down past the baseball fields and look for the organge TTC flags.

What is a "BioBlitz?"

A bioblitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time, usually 24 hours. Participants can use identification guides, microscopes, and apps like iNaturalist to help identify species.

Bioblitzes are important because they help document the biodiversity of an area, provide an opportunity for people to learn about local biodiversity, and help build community enthusiasm for nature!
