The Trail Foundation Officially Opens the Between the Bridges Project

WHAT: Ribbon Cutting to Celebrate newest Trail enhancement: Between the Bridges.  This trailhead between the bridges has now been developed and landscaped with native plants.

Comments by: TTF Executive Director Susan Rankin and TTF Board President Bill Kerr, and Brian Ott, designer with landscape architect partner TBG Partners

WHERE: Between the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge and the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge on the south side of the Trail at Lady Bird Lake

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 30th, 2009, 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.

MEDIA: Parking is available at Austin Parks and Recreation Department, 200 S. Lamar and in limited capacity in the parking area adjacent to Between the Bridges.

Our mission is to protect and enhance the Trail at Lady Bird Lake.  Since our formation in 2003 as a 501(c)(3), we have fulfilled our mission through careful improvements to the Trail’s infrastructure and environment, while honoring the original vision of the Trail’s founders. In a distinctively collaborative effort, we work in cooperation with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to close the gap between what the government provides and what the Trail requires.
