Amber Wadey runs on the Trail at least once a week and has been supporting The Trail Foundation through the Austin Runners Club for two years. This year, ARC presented TTF a check for $15,000− the proceeds from their annual Austin Distance Challenge.

Amber became an official member of The Trail Foundation around the time she was signing up for the 2018 Maudie’s Moonlight Margarita Run, and it was her second year participating in MMR with the Austin Runners Club.

Luckily for Amber, since she was both a TTF member AND a participant in the Moonlight Margarita Run and Party, she was entered to win a $100 Outdoor Voices gift certificate and was randomly selected as the winner!

Amber was over the moon excited about winning the OV gift card, and we’re thankful to have her as a Trail supporter.

You can find her meeting up with the Austin Runners Club at Auditorium Shores most Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. or enjoying a quiet run on the east side of the Trail by herself on weekday mornings.

“In my opinion, running on the Boardwalk at sunrise is the best place and the best way to experience Austin,” she says.
