Q1Media and AdExcite Donate $25,000 to the Butler Trail

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Q1Media and AdExcite have donated $25,000 to help complete the Ann and Roy Butler Trail around Lady Bird Lake in downtown Austin. Their gift to The Trail Foundation’s Campaign for the Trail will help the Austin-based foundation reach its $5 million capital campaign goal.

“The Butler Trail is a key amenity that makes Austin a great place to live and to work. We are proud to support the Trail Foundation and help finish this major civic initiative,” stated Bill Wiemann, CEO of Q1Media and a co-founder of AdExcite. Q1Media, a digital advertising sales firm and AdExcite, an Internet video advertising network have a strategic partnership. The companies employ over 30 people in Austin, Texas.

The Trail Foundation’s mission is to protect and enhance the Butler Trail at Lady Bird Lake. The Trail is the most popular recreational destination in Central Texas with over 1.5 million visits every year. The Campaign for the Trail raised private sector funds to help fund the Trail Completion Project, a 1.1 mile new stretch of overwater and overland trail on the southeast section of the lake.

Q1Media and AdExcite are offering to match any donations to the Trail Foundation from their team members. The companies are planning a fall volunteer work day at the Trail.
