The Trail Conservancy is excited to partner with Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and Austin Parks and Recreation Department to bring a second Fortlandia exhibit to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail! Star Dome will debut on the east side of the Trail near S. Pleasant Valley Road in October 2021.
Fortlandia is a collection of forts designed by architects, designers, and artists, designed to transport guests to imaginary worlds and spark an appreciation for art and nature. Star Dome, designed by sculptor Chris Levack features celestial and geographic themes as the structure casts star-shaped shadows across the ground throughout the day.
