Personalized Bricks at Town Lake Are Perfect Gift for Trail Enthusiasts

AUSTIN, TX – November 28, 2006 – Give the gift they won’t re-gift: an engraved brick at the Town Lake Trail.

With a donation to the Town Lake Trail Foundation, trail enthusiasts (or those who love them) can purchase commemorative bricks and become a lasting part of Town Lake Trail history. Proceeds help fund future improvements to the trail.

Bricks are priced in $100/$500/$1,000 increments and can be inscribed with a name or names to leave a family legacy or honor a special person. Buyers who purchase bricks for someone else can print a gift notice after they place their order. Ordering takes only minutes at www.townlaketrail.org.

Approximately 2,500 bricks will be available, in three sizes: 4”x8”, 8”x8” and 12”x12.” Supplies are limited. The bricks will be placed at Lou Neff Point as part of the final restoration of the area near the confluence of the Colorado River and Barton Creek. The Town Lake Trail Foundation (TLTF) was formed in 2003 with a mission to improve and protect the scenic hike and bike trail that shadows the lush Colorado River as it flows through Austin. The Foundation takes contributions and donations from concerned individuals, organizations and corporations and puts them to work to assure the Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail remains one of the most natural and well-maintained hike and bike paths in the United States.
