SUMMARY:BIPOC Bird Walk with Travis Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Join Mohammad Tohidiar and TTC Environmental Programs Manager Jonatan Salinas to find birds on the Northeast end of the Butler Trail at the Unity Underpass and Wishbone Bridge. Recently planted native trees\, shrubs\, wildflowers\, and natural spring water provide excellent habitats for a variety of bird species. As TTC restores this section of the Butler Trail\, there will be a change in birds! \nTravis Audubon’s BIPOC Bird Walks intentionally welcome Black\, Indigenous\, and People of Color to build community and connection through enjoying birds and birding. These walks are intended to be safe\, welcoming\, and affirming spaces where BIPOC individuals can enjoy the beauty of birding and nature together. \nWe invite anyone who identifies as BIPOC and who supports our values of diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, and access to join us. Friends\, family\, and allies are welcome to attend as space allows. \nBird walks are: \n\n1-2 miles long\, completed in around 2 hours\nBeginner-friendly (all levels are welcome)\nOn mostly flat terrain (dissolved gravel trail and sidewalks)\nWe have binoculars to lend to anyone who doesn’t have a pair\n\nBird walks are always free\, but registration is required and is limited to 20 participants. Rodríguez. Taking place at the installation at Auditorium Shores\, the performance invites audiences to experience sound in conversation with the natural landscape of Lady Bird Lake. \nBring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in along the Trail for this unique performance. He is also the founder of Thor & Friends\, a collaborative ensemble exploring percussion\, electronics\, and American minimalism. \nJuan Cisneros / JU4N (@uxelite) \nJuan Cisneros is an Austin-based multidisciplinary artist\, musician\, and educator whose work spans electronic music\, video\, installation\, and performance. Performing and recording as JU4N\, he has been active in Austin’s experimental music and sound-art communities\, including projects connected with Church of the Friendly Ghost and NMASS. \nVerena Gaudy + Martín C. Rodríguez (@ungritogallery) \nVerena Gaudy and Martín C. Rodríguez are San Antonio-based artists whose collaborative work brings together performance\, installation\, video\, sound\, ceramics\, and new media. They co-founded Un Grito Gallery and have presented work through venues and programs including Fusebox Festival\, SoundSpace at the Blanton Museum of Art\, Luminaria\, and Contemporary Art Month. \nGetting There\nThis park space has: \n\n						GRASSY LAWN					 \n\n						RESTROOMS					 \n\n						PARKING LOT					 \n\n						DOG PARK					 \nCity metered street parking is available along W.
